Worship at Christ Community Church

Sunday Worship is prayer-centered and bible-based. Our music is typically a mix of classic hymns, some traditionally styled and others with a modern arrangement. Our Sunday messages are strongly tied to Scripture and centered around the hope of the Gospel. We observe the sacrament of communion every Sunday.

What to expect & FAQ's

What's worship like?

Our worship style is contemporary, with a programming balance between solid praise songs and traditional hymns of the Church. Our worship service is casual and the gospel-centered preaching will appeal not only to believers, but also to seekers and skeptics.

What time is worship?

Our worship service begins at 10:30am on Sunday. During the school year, we like to show up early for discipleship and fellowship. The youth and children's discipleship groups (grades 1 - 12), as well as adult Sunday School, begin at 9:00am during the school year (Sept - May). Childcare is provided for newborns - kindergarten during these classes.

Where do I go?

We meet at our new worship space located at 2222 Hwy 52 in Helena. Look for the blue sign.

What do I wear?

Dress is casual. Guys will wear jeans, slacks, polos and button-downs. Ladies wear skirts, pants or jeans. Depending on the weather and your mood - come as you are!

What about my kids?

On Sunday mornings during the school year, grades 1 - 6 meet at 9:00am for their own time of discipleship. Nursery care is available at 9:00am.

During the worship service, 1st through 6th grades stay in the entire service. We offer nursery/childcare for toddlers and infants during the whole service. Three to five-year-olds remain in the service for worship and announcements, and they're dismissed to their own learning time prior to the sermon. After the service, a parent will need to come to the Sunday School room to get each child. A registration table is available in the foyer, and a CCC staff member can assist you in checking your child into/out of nursery or preschool, locating your child's class, or answering your questions.

What about my teenager(s) or young adult(s)?

Our CCC Student ministry seeks to develop wisdom, faith, and understanding of scripture. CCC Students (grades 7-12) meet for discipleship before worship as well as during the week for learning and encouragement. For more information, please see our Student Ministries page.

Young adults (college/career) meet weekly for fellowship/learning and prayer. These meetings are usually in a member's home. Contact the church for more information.

How do I stay connected after Sunday morning?

After church we'd love for you to visit one of our many community groups. They primarily meet on Sunday nights. Contact the church office for help in finding a community group.

Community Groups

We are not meant to live the Christian life alone. Our Community Groups share life together through learning, prayer, fellowship and mission. 6-12 individuals meet regularly so that Jesus Christ is experienced in His presence and power in the context of relationships.

I'd like to meet pastors Phil or David

Good, because they'd like to meet you too! If you miss them after worship, contact the church office to arrange a time.

What is your church doing to comply with COVID-19 regulations?

At Christ Community Church, we are eager to protect the safety, health, and well-being of members, attenders and visitors of all ages. We are stringently monitoring the Alabama Department of Public Health's Guidelines for Places of Worship, and we are in full compliance with those regulations. Through most of 2020 and the beginning of 2021, we offered two worship times to encourage social distancing inside our worship space. Starting May 30, 2021, we will return to ONE worship service on Sunday mornings at 10:30am. Masks will no longer be required, but adult participants are encouraged use them if they have not had an opportunity to receive their full vaccinations.

To read more about how we're following the guidelines and establishing the safest possible environment in our building, please check out our blog.

Are you affiliated with a denomination?

Yes. Christ Community is a church affiliated with the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA). For more information, visit pcanet.org.
